Fall Co-Op Opportunity (May-December 2027)

Under direct supervision, to performdetailTransmission drafting work to create, update andmaintainidentified drawings; and to do other related drafting work as assigned. In this connection to perform details of work, such as:

  • Draw,updateandmaintaintransmission substation and line drawings, electrical, civil, structural,buildingand other diagrams associated with transmission design, with computer or, when necessary, by hand.

  • Change drawings to match marked prints or verbal instructions.

  • Create,maintainand prepare special posters, signs, charts,mapsor reports when requested.

  • Assistin taking field measurements or sketches at the site to resolve discrepancies on drawings or maps, and/or obtainadditionalinformation.

  • Maintain and update information in the electronic drawing management system.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Primarily in an office environment, however when on field trips or assigned to a special on-site project they may be subject to the usual conditions existing in switchyards,substationsor other buildings, and subject to outdoor weather conditions. When in thefieldthe employee must wear personal protective equipment asrequired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A current student pursuing a degree in Design Drafting, Computer Aided Drafting, or other drafting technology from an accredited university. A 2.5 GPA isrequired, and a 3.0 or higher is preferred
