What is a design sales rep?

A Design Sales Representative, often called a Design Sales Rep, is a professional who combines expertise in design with strong sales skills to help clients select and purchase design-related products or services. They typically work in industries like interior design, furniture, home improvement, or fashion, where they advise customers on style, materials, and suitability to meet their needs. Design Sales Reps build relationships with clients, understand their aesthetic preferences, and guide them through the sales process, ensuring both satisfaction and successful project outcomes.

How does a design sales rep typically collaborate with interior designers and clients during a project?

As a Design Sales Rep, collaboration with interior designers and clients is central to your daily responsibilities. You’ll often work closely with designers to understand their vision and recommend products that align with both aesthetic and functional needs.
