Haley Ward is looking for a Survey Project Manager for our Stuart, FL office to support a wide variety of projects predominantly located in Florida. The function of the Survey Project Manager is to plan, organize, and coordinate the activities of the survey project to best accomplish the successful completion of all projects to which assigned while operating within the guidelines established by the Survey Manager and Division Director and within the policies and procedures established for project management.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Directs others toward preparation of a professional, economical, and effective product for each individual project.
  • Works closely with personnel from other departments as necessary to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements.
  • Manages a project team and multiple projects.
  • Manages contract budgets and estimates to completion and updates as conditions change. Communicates scope of work changes with clients, including project schedule and budget impacts, and requests client approval before authorizing or performing such out-of-scope work.
  • Prepares project proposals including scope of work, time, and estimated manpower.
  • Maintains general supervision over supervised staff activities to ensure technical and financial competence. This includes but is not limited to quality, accuracy, and completeness of work; compliance with established standards, procedures, codes, and ordinances; adherence to design and project schedules; adequate training, technical and administrative guidance, and instruction to supervised staff.
  • Develops marketing and business development plans for Southeast Region Survey Division for the Port St Lucie office, in coordination with the Stuart Survey Manager, Survey Division Director, Marketing Director, COO, and CEO.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Minimum of ten years of surveying experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering (or equivalent) required.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • A working knowledge of modern survey techniques, and computer programs is required.
  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required.
  • Registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) in Florida preferred but not required.

A criminal background check and driving record check will be conducted.
