Reports To: Design Manager

Position Purpose: 

The Design & Project Coordinator will co-ordinate and design any existing venue refurbishment requirements, internal and external furniture layouts, elevation amends and aesthetic design elements and any other specifically assigned projects. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design project coordination - Organizing shipping, warehouse coordination and deliveries of direct orders for projects e.g. tiles, wallpaper, plants
  • Source and maintain specifications for furniture, wall finishes, lighting and FF&E items as required for new and existing venues
  • Graphic design work
  • Assisting the Design Manager on review and redlining of project drawings
  • Installation of dressing and production for new venues and updating existing venues 
  • Doing on-site Matterports
  • Design of outdoor areas, planting and soft furnishings for increased curb appeal 
  • Support any new venue design work as required
  • Support the company sustainability focus on sourcing and using circular economy and low carbon options

Requirements & Minimum Qualifications

  • Be an action orientated, a self-starter and collaborator who develops positive working relationships at all levels
  • Proven experience in interior design for a minimum of 3+ years from a hospitality brand
  • Proven experience in procurement and sourcing
  • Fully proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and SketchUp
  • Revit skills preferable 
  • Ability to travel and remain on location for 1-2 weeks at a time (Travel up to 25%)
  • Possess exceptional communication and management skills
  • Can lead within a fast-paced environment and deliver amidst demanding timelines
  • Be an excellent problem solver with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Can have fun and showcase that fun personality while being highly organized, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Be able to actively demonstrate and encourage the State of Play leadership principles

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range of $72k-78k, based on experience.
  • Eligibility to enroll in Medical, Dental, Vision and other insurance benefits.
  • Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and seven Paid Holidays.
  • Option to enroll in 401k, Medical FSA, Commuter benefits, etc.
  • Employee Discount: 50% your total bill for you and up to five guests at Flight Club or AceBounce.
