Title: Civil Engineering Project Manager – Land Development

Location: Bluffton, SC
Work Arrangement: Onsite | No Remote
Relocation: Non-local candidates may be considered with a relocation bonus

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead land development projects from feasibility and site planning through design, permitting, and construction support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in site/civil design, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead design teams and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead land development and site planning projects.
  • Prepare and review site layouts, grading, drainage, paving, water, sanitary sewer, and erosion control designs.
  • Oversee stormwater models and calculation reports.
  • Provide technical engineering guidance and mentorship to design staff.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, workload, and permitting timelines.
  • Supervise and develop a small design team.
  • Coordinate with clients, permitting agencies, sub-consultants, and contractors.
  • Prepare project proposals and assist with contract negotiations.
  • Forecast project workload and resources.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure successful project delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in land development/site/civil engineering design and permitting.
  • Hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Bluffton, SC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, paving, and erosion control.
  • Experience managing land development projects and design teams.
  • Experience working with local and state permitting agencies.
