New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is a full-service distributor based in White Plains, NY. Our Metals location based in Mountainside, NJ is seeking an Operations Manager. In this role you will be responsible for oversight of a 30,000 SF Manufacturing facility. Prior experience in the sheet metal industry is not required, but is considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Schedule daily manufacturing work, ensuring machine utilization is optimized and production deadlines are met using MRP software.
  • Manage shop floor personnel to meet individual productivity metrics.
  • Review production paperwork for accuracy prior to releasing to the shop floor.
  • Oversee CNC programming team.
  • Communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors with regards to all aspects of the production workflow.
  • Check and receive inbound materials.
  • Check and coordinate delivery of outbound materials.
  • Maintain production standards in accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy. Perform intermittent and final quality checks.
  • Maintain a culture of Safety. Adhering to NCM Safety Policies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting of machinery and coordinate external vendors/manufacturers repair teams as required.
  • You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must have a can do, customer service first attitude
  • Ability to navigate digital MRP systems
  • Experience in the architectural, construction, or design industry
  • Familiarity with the CAD programs
  • Familiarity with automation and integrated machinery
  • Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication and metal roofing is a plus
