Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of their store in accordance with company policy. The manager will staff, train, and motivate their team to exceed customer and company expectations while creating ambassadors of the brand. A focus on written sales, which includes selling, delivered sales, team development, developing the design culture through home calls and enhancing the customer experience is expected. This is a full-time role that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage, maximize, and drive store sales by achieving assigned goals and focusing on income producing activities.
  • Achieve individual written sales goals.
  • Respond to customer demands and be aware of market trends in home furnishings, and promote the Scan Design brand and design culture within the community.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and manage associates through training, development, motivation, and inspiration.
  • Manage the operational aspects through accurate tasks, reporting, and invoicing, and ensuring Inventory accuracy and compliance. Minimum of two physical inventories per year with monthly governed cycle counting.
  • Meet all customer expectations with first class customer service through professional resolve and promptness and ownership of experience.
  • Store administration through the demonstration of a strong work ethic, integrity, professional conduct, and the accomplishment of day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure the highest quality in visual and merchandising management in floor displays and cleanliness. Walk showrooms to ensure projections are on point with company standards. Partner with Senior Leadership on any opportunities.
  • Develop the Trade Partners program and in house events to drive business.
  • Hands-on approach to assist associates in selling, merchandising, marketing, and driving sales.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings with teams.
  • Perform any permanent or temporary duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven track record in retail and sales management with a great ability to lead a team
  • Organized, Creative with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1-3 years high-end retail leadership experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Sketch Up, Photoshop, AutoCAD, or other design software (preferred but not required)
  • Post-Secondary education; Bachelor Degree preferred
