Department Overview Financial Insights is responsible for planning, developing, communicating, implementation, and evaluating solutions that involve working with external entities and their corresponding resources as well as with the company's internal resources. May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

Job Overview The primary role of the Senior Data Analyst is to support and expand the technical capabilities of the Financial Insights team across an array of technologies and business domains, including Credit, Rebates, Accounting, and FP&A. This role will require expertise in deployment of Machine Learning models in the Cardinal Health environment, and therefore strong Python and SDLC experience is preferred.

This person will work collaboratively with Shared Services/Cloud teams, offshore/onshore developers, 3rd party business partners, and business users to solve business problems and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

Work with cross-functional partners across our highly matrixed organization to understand both upstream inputs to, and downstream impact of, current and future processes. Prepares and analyzes data. This can include locating, profiling, cleansing, extracting, mapping, importing, transforming, validating or modeling. Ensure technical specifications are aligned with both business needs and technical design standards.

Partner with external consultants, solution providers, and managed services organizations to enable product/solution development as well as meeting documented standards. Interact with multiple organizations to track project progress, identify risks, communicate risks and status to leadership, and to assess potential impacts to the business. Generate ideas and suggestions for process and technical improvements for platforms and processes supported by the team.

Ensure platforms and tools meet or exceed data security standards, including internal and external audits performed. Willingness to become a technoโ€functional expert in the solutions being implemented. Use strong verbal and written communication skills that nonโ€technical business and endโ€users can understand. Develop best practices for solution and tool frameworks, leveraging standard naming conventions, scripting and coding practices to ensure consistency of data solution.

Qualifications 8+ years of experience in related field, including experience with specific tools in scope such as Google Cloud Platform, preferred. Experience/proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, Google Looker. Demonstrated expertise of solution design and modeling. Experience with business critical applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated understanding of financial implications of projects. Experience on largeโ€scale implementation programs preferred. Business Requirements Documentation Experience preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in related field (i.e. Computer Science) or equivalent work experience preferred. What is expected at this level Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects. Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals. Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models. Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope.

Projects may have significant and longโ€term impact. Provides solutions which may set precedent. Independently determines method for completion of new projects. Receives guidance on overall project objectives. Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
