Job description

Primary Responsibilities:

This position is primarily responsible for electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing and evaluation of both new and existing electromechanical medical devices.

The candidate will be expected to work hands-on with test setups, perform and monitor test activities, and accurately record results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tests based on requirements from Product and Reliability Engineering.
  • Work under direction from the Reliability Test Manager, Lab Supervisor, and Test Engineers.
  • Set up and monitor electrical/mechanical/environmental tests and document results.
  • Perform teardown, destructive testing, or test-to-failure as needed.
  • Assist in product failure analysis and suggest design improvements.
  • Handle various test equipment like environmental chambers, gauges, meters, etc.
  • Document test configurations and create detailed reports.
  • Validate design changes and perform competitive product testing.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years in testing, lab, or relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in mechanical gauging tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Able to read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and test measurement equipment.
  • Experience with environmental testing (shock, vibration, temperature, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PLC, Ladder Logic, and Micro-controllers is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 10 lbs.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; AA Degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of mechanical or electrical experience, or Engineering graduates with relevant internship experience.
