Job Summary:
The Design Engineer is responsible for developing 2D/3D designs, drawings, and layouts for vehicle parts and assemblies. This role requires the ability to independently solve complex design challenges while supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
Design metal fabricated parts and assemblies using SolidWorks
Develop full truck models and production documentation
Manage engineering files using PDM and ERP systems
Handle multiple projects with varying urgency and complexity
Collaborate with production to resolve design and manufacturing issues
Complete Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed
Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for parts and assemblies
Drive process improvements through design optimization

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field
5+ years of mechanical experience
3+ years in a manufacturing environment
Strong SolidWorks proficiency
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
