Tasks / Responsibilities (To include, but not limited to):
  • Provide E-Plan support by designing, documenting, and editing redline documents, including 3D models, assemblies, bills of materials, and schematics
  • Provide AutoCAD support by designing, documenting, and editing redline documents, including schematics, detailed drawings, and customer drawing packages
  • Design and document projects based on sold orders using E-Plan, SolidWorks, and/or AutoCAD
  • Support the manufacturing department by creating and maintaining work instructions and test documentation for production projects
  • Oversee projects on the manufacturing floor in a technical support role, resolving drawing, BOM, and related issues as they arise
  • Act as a liaison between customers and CES to resolve drawing, BOM, and other technical issues
  • Assist in the sales cycle by providing engineering guidance on product selection, design considerations, and best practices
  • Support customers and sales staff in product selection using technical sizing tools and resources
  • Maintain technical expertise by attending workshops, reviewing technical publications, and building professional networks

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in the following software programs:
    o E-Plan
    o AutoCAD
    o SolidWorks
    o UL508A
    o M.S. Office suite
    o PowerPoint
    o NEC, IEC code compliance

Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Able to work independently
Communicates effectively (both written and verbal) with customers and colleagues.

Environmental/Physical Requirements:
Office/Sedentary Requirements - Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
Preferred Experience/ Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of Design Engineering experience is preferred
