Job description

The Design Manager will develop and execute a strategy to sell Miele luxury products and plays a vital role in developing both new and existing dealers within an assigned territory. This individual informs, inspires, educates, and engages our Authorized Dealer's/Prospects/Industry Professionals via a unique array of sales, marketing and training programs in order to accomplish our annual sales goals. This role would also be instrumental for the day to day interaction and activities to secure "project" business in the identified marketplace.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ability to present to C Level Executives at Developer, Architectural Firms and the Design Community
  • Focus on sales budgets, new business development & maintaining customer relationships
  • Dedication to establishing new retail customers, key developers, general contractor architects with the ability to purchase and promote Miele products.
  • Manage Existing Dealers to use the Sales Tools and Programs available to them to increase Sales Volumes in the assigned Territory
  • Create monthly business review meetings with key business partners to ensure that they are on track to hit the mutually agreed upon goals
  • Increase Branding through consistent Territory Marketing and Dealer Displays
  • Maintain brand display excellence
  • On a consistent basis, contact existing customers to inform, train, and educate them on all new and current Miele products and related accessories.
  • Participate in trade shows, sales promotions, and dealer promotions to foster customer relations.
  • Participate in the overall experience at our Experience Centers
  • Supports and implements marketing plans, promotions and new product launches
  • Prospects and interacts with key decision makers including architects, designers and developers and develop long term partnership for sales of multi-unit "project" opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • Five (5) years' experience in outside sales of luxury brand preferred
  • High School or GED required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with CRM is a plus
  • Organizational and leadership ability
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated presentation and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to accommodate a minimum of 4 nights per week of overnight travel.Most travel is by car, although some air travel will be required
  • Valid Driver's License
