Design Bundles information

What are Design Bundles?

Design Bundles are curated collections of digital design resources, such as graphics, fonts, templates, and illustrations, typically sold together at a discounted price. These bundles are popular among graphic designers, crafters, and small business owners who need high-quality assets for projects like logos, invitations, and marketing materials. The bundles often come with commercial licenses, allowing buyers to use the assets in both personal and professional work. Design Bundles are available from various online marketplaces, making it easy to find themed or specialized collections suited to different creative needs.

What are some common challenges faced by designers working at a digital marketplace like Design Bundles?

Designers at digital marketplaces such as Design Bundles often face the challenge of standing out in a competitive environment, where unique and high-quality products are essential for visibility and sales. Managing customer feedback, licensing questions, and digital rights is also a regular part of the role. Additionally, designers need to stay updated with design trends and software to ensure their offerings remain relevant and appealing to customers. Effective collaboration with marketing and customer support teams can further enhance product success and user satisfaction.

What is the difference between Design Bundles vs Graphic Designer?

AspectDesign BundlesGraphic Designer
CredentialsNo formal credentials required; mainly licensing and usage rightsTypically holds a degree or certification in graphic design or related field
Work EnvironmentOnline marketplace, digital product salesDesign studios, agencies, freelance work, corporate offices
Industry UsageUsed by designers, small business owners, marketers for templates and assetsCreates custom designs for clients, branding, advertising
Search & Comparison IntentBuying pre-made design assets, templatesHiring for custom design projects, portfolio review

Design Bundles primarily offers ready-made digital assets and templates for purchase, while graphic designers create custom, tailored designs for clients. Both roles are integral to the design industry but serve different purposes and workflows.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Digital Product Designer for Design Bundles, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Digital Product Designer for Design Bundles, you need strong graphic design skills, proficiency in design principles, and experience with digital art, typically supported by a degree in graphic design or a related field. Mastery of tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), vector graphics software, and familiarity with digital asset marketplaces are essential. Thermal Mechanical Engineer - Job Description

Baltimore, MD             Full-time

ETCH is a startup commercializing a radically new and efficient decarbonization technology for the simultaneous greenhouse gas-free production of hydrogen and solid carbon from natural gas.

Primary duties include leading the design and development of advanced reactor systems and supporting infrastructure. This role will be central to scaling from pilot to commercial systems, with a strong emphasis on reactor bundles, high-temperature design, and balance-of-plant (BOP) integration. Focus will be on design, improving performance and efficiency, and safety of the processes all while driving continuous improvements and innovations.

Other duties include:

Reactor & Core System Design

  • Design and optimize annulus reactor bundles, including thermal uniformity, flow distribution, and mechanical integrity
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for pilot reactor modifications and scale-up to 5 MTPD (metric tons per day) reactor systems
  • Perform thermal and structural calculations for high-temperature operation (1000C environments)
  • Evaluate materials of construction considering creep, thermal expansion, and chemical compatibility

Structural & Mechanical Systems

  • Design structural supports for reactor systems, accounting for thermal expansion, vibration, and load conditions
  • Ensure mechanical robustness and maintainability of reactor assemblies
  • Develop expansion joints, supports, and interfaces between hot and cold sections

Balance of Plant (BOP) & Layout

  • Lead mechanical design and layout for balance-of-plant systems, including:
  • Heat exchangers
  • Piping systems
  • Valves and flow control
  • Gas handling systems
  • Develop plant layout and equipment arrangement for pilot and commercial facilities
  • Ensure proper integration between reactor core and BOP systems

Engineering Analysis & Optimization

  • Conduct thermal modeling (CFD/FEA preferred) and heat transfer analysis
  • Perform stress analysis and lifecycle evaluation of critical components
  • Support optimization of system efficiency, uptime, and reliability

Execution & Scale-Up

  • Support transition from pilot to commercial-scale systems
  • Work closely with fabrication teams, vendors, and operations
  • Participate in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in: High-temperature systems, Reactor design / process equipment, Thermal systems engineering
  • Experience with chemical plants, hydrogen systems, pyrolysis, or similar is highly preferred
  • Strong fundamentals in: Heat transfer, Fluid mechanics, Structural mechanics
    Experience with:
  • CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
  • FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, etc.)
  • High-temperature alloys, ceramics, and refractory materials
  • Pressure systems and piping design codes (ASME preferred)

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience designing modular or bundled reactor systems
  • Familiarity with scale-up challenges (pilot commercial)
  • Hands-on mindset with ability to work in fast-paced startup environments
