Job description

Industrial Project Manager

We are looking for an Industrial Project Manager to join a multidisciplinary team at our office in Nashville! The position will be within our Industrial Power and Process division with a focus on utility and manufacturing facility projects. The role will also include business development, marketing, and client management duties. If you think this might be a good fit for you, keep reading and apply!

Core Competencies:

  • Experienced in managing the execution of projects from a design or EPC role.
  • Provide coordination throughout the lifecycle of the project from initial feasibility studies through engineering and construction.
  • Preparation of the project scope, budget, schedule and capital funding documentation.
  • Manage, direct, and supervise projects to ensure projects conform to the commitments related to time, quality, and cost. Deal directly with clients to establish project schedules and expectations.
  • Coordination of all engineering disciplines as needed to ensure project deliverables are coordinated to ensure constructability.
  • Supplement Salas O’Brien design standards and administrative procedures where needed.
  • Assist team leader in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
  • Assist team leader in maintaining and developing client base through various business development efforts.
  • Assist market segment manager and team leader in preparation of RFP type proposal responses including project write ups, resumes, fee developments.
  • Take an active lead in proposal for work process. Identify prospective clients and work in conjunction with team leader to establish relationship with those clients.
  • Identify new opportunities that may have synergistic benefit with our existing business

Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience.
  • B.S. degree in Project Management or a technical related field such as Engineering, Construction Management or Facility Management preferred.
  • Professional Engineers (PE) license preferred but not required.
  • PMP certification is highly preferred
  • Experience in Design Building and Design Bid Build project execution methods.
  • Knowledge of project approach and system design.
  • Willingness to build and maintain relationships with clients.
