Ability to read and understand plans

Proficient with Microsoft Office, RFMS or other estimating software

Strong technical knowledge of flooring


Responsibilities of the Design Sales Associate include:

  • Sell flooring products and installation services 
  • Assist customers with flooring selections by explaining product features, benefits, and warranties 
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire project lifecycle 
  • Meet with clients in the showroom and at job sites as needed 
  • Coordinate job measures and estimates 
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and sales orders 
  • Work closely with administrative staff to coordinate work orders, scheduling, and project timelines 
  • Monitor projects through completion and follow up with customers after installation 
  • Visit job sites to help ensure installations run smoothly 
  • Coordinate with accounting to ensure timely collection of payments 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships 
  • Network and collaborate effectively with team members across departments 
  • Utilize company software and databases to research product availability and process orders 
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and concerns 
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance metrics 
  • Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and new flooring solutions
