Job description

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join us as an OFE (Owner Furnished Equipment) Project Management specialist for the Power Island equipment scope of supply. The Venture Global OFE team is responsible to ensure that the properly specified and configured Power Island, Pre-treatment and Liquefaction Equipment is delivered on-time. The Venture Global OFE team is also responsible for the performance, interface and correct functionality of the Power Island, Pre-treatment and Liquefaction Equipment.
This position will be located in Arlington, VA.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will assist OFE Project Managers on a variety of project functions of varying complexity, and/or will manage some smaller and less complex projects on their own. This position will manage and act as a coordinator and project liaison to the key stakeholders, suppliers, engineering partners, and other throughout the project. The APM will assist in managing document control, manage databases and coordinate and track project activities and communications to ensure project goals are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget parameters
  • Assist Project Managers with overall efforts for all OFE Power Island projects.
  • Assist the Project Management team to administer request for proposal package development, proposal review process, and support development of detailed scope of work documents for downstream contracts.
  • Support supplier submittals, requests for information, supplemental design instructions, and site drawing logs.
  • Verify supplier compliance including quality, safety, environmental, environmental and material management programs.
  • Execute contracts including support for all change order management, approval of invoices, and management of schedules.
  • Assist with project controls efforts, including project cost reporting, scheduling, project work breakdown structure establishment, project set-up and closeout within the accounting system, and field progress tracking.
  • Assist with the development of internal and external reports including, project budgeting, cost reports, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal and external project risk reviews
  • Assist with project out contract and project documentation
  • Support project team responsibilities in conjunction with site construction activities
  • Adhere to Venture Global safety programs, trainings, and promote Safety & Health adherence of project team members and suppliers.
  • Complies with all Venture Global policies and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related degree from accredited program and 4 years of applicable experience is required.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding work environment
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others (Suppliers, Contractors, Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
