About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support construction management services for our valued client's data center project. This position will work with a team of professionals, including the client's senior project manager, other construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to oversee and deliver this hyper-scale data center project. This role is a significant project team position with many growth opportunities.
General responsibilities include:
  • Oversee design development and project budget and cost.
  • Verify and approve vendor payables, track vendor quantities through timesheets, and physical accounting.
  • Assist in reviewing monthly contractor billing estimates for the owner.
  • Lead regularly occurring project team meetings on behalf of the owner.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate contractor updates on behalf of the owner.
  • Oversee both the cost report and the monthly billing.
  • Manage extra work billings and claims under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Manage the design change implementation and change management process.
  • Manage the submittal and RFI process on behalf of the owner's team.
  • Ensure a safe project site and work environment.

Requirements:
  • Eight to ten years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Preference for experience in mission-critical, industrial, and process-heavy facilities.
  • Ability to prepare and communicate cost and revenue projections.
  • Knowledge of the permitting process and ability to drive the process to meet project timelines.
  • Utilize effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Understand how your role contributes to the organization's goals.
  • Consistently communicates and collaborates with team members and clients.
  • Build relationships with peers, leaders, clients, and customers.
  • Proactively participate in self-development to continually enhance current skills and build new skills required to excel at the current role and prepare for career progression.
