Your Role

Join our team as an Assistant Project Manager with the British Columbia Team in Vancouver!

Our Assistant Project Managers get the opportunity work with the best in the industry and to develop their skills on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity with the British Columbia business unit.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate experience supporting projects varying in scope and complexity with depth in building and facilities project in healthcare, education and commercial mixed-use environments.


  • Work alongside experienced project managers to learn the keys to client satisfaction and successful project delivery
  • Provide project support to the Project Manager(s) including schedule updates, progress reports and preparation of tender and contract documents
  • Engage in on-site organization of contractors and consultants
  • Attend project and site meetings to capture action items
  • Provide a communication path between the Project Manager(s) and contractors, consultants and suppliers
  • Provide relief support on other projects when available to do so
  • Ensure that project activities are conducted in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System

  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture or construction management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • A minimum of 1 - 3 years of project coordination experience managing projects of varying size and scope in a range of sectors including, healthcare, education and municipal/provincial
  • E.I.T preferred 
  • Actively working towards obtaining the Project Management Professional Designation (PMP)  through the Project Management Institute.
  • Previous exposure to consultant and design management, construction contract administration and project financial an asset
  • An understanding of project delivery models, including design-build, construction management, design-bid-build
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • A results-oriented approach with the ability to take responsibility
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications

Approximate Base Salary Range for Role: $58,965 - $74,574. 

Base Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
