JOB SUMMARY:

The Graphic Designer Artist supports the creation and production of visual design assets for Entertainment scenic projects. This role executes design concepts under the direction of Senior Scenic Designers, Show Directors, and Event Managers, ensuring adherence to UDX brand standards, creative direction, and established project parameters.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Produces layouts, visual designs, typography, and graphic elements for scenic-based projects under established creative direction.
  • Executes production-ready artwork aligned with UDX brand standards and intellectual property guidelines.
  • Completes design tasks with accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.
  • Prepares files for print, digital, and environmental applications using industry standard tools.
  • Collaborates with Sr. Scenic Designers, Sr. Graphic Designers, Show Directors, and Event Managers to execute assigned concepts and revisions.
  • Supports project timelines by completing assigned tasks on schedule and communicating progress updates.
  • Incorporates feedback and revisions in a timely manner.
  • Maintains organized files and documentation for project tracking and handoff.
  • Assists in preparing materials for presentations.
  • Communicates design ideas and updates clearly within project teams.
  • Applies current UDX brand standards, design tools, media formats, and production methods.
  • Maintains working knowledge of design tools, media formats and production methods.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:ย 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of visual communication and design work required.
EXPERIENCE:ย 
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design related field.
  • Experience supporting scenic, environmental, or event-based design projects preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple media formats (digital, print, environmental graphics).
  • Familiarity with theme park entertainment, theatre, or related industries is a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Foundational understanding of scenic, theatrical, architectural, or environmental design.
  • Working knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and/or 3D modeling software.
  • Ability to interpret and produce design drawings, elevations, and technical reference documents.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
