Licensed HVAC Service/Install Technician
Company: Mr. H Heating & Cooling - South Bend & Elkhart Counties
Employment Type: Full-Time • W-2
Schedule: Monday-Friday • Daytime + Plus necessary On-Call

Your Role
You'll be the face of Mr. H Heating & Cooling-servicing, diagnosing, and installing HVAC systems for homeowners and small businesses.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, mini-splits, and IAQ systems.
  • Perform licensed installations of HVAC equipment and components in full compliance with Indiana state and local codes.
  • Conduct seasonal tune-ups and preventive maintenance for HomeCare+ Plan members.
  • Clearly explain repair options and estimates to customers.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation through our mobile app (ServiceTitan experience a plus).
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and licensing standards.

Qualifications
  • Active Indiana HVAC License (Required) - must hold or be able to obtain a State of Indiana Heating & Cooling License prior to start.
  • EPA 608 Certification (Required).
  • Minimum 3 years of residential/light commercial experience in service and/or install.
  • Familiar with electrical diagnostics, brazing, airflow, refrigerant charging, and combustion testing.
  • Valid Driver's License + Clean MVR + Background/Drug Screen.
  • Strong customer communication skills and a professional appearance.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, or rooftops.

Preferred
  • NATE or Manufacturer Certifications.
  • Light Commercial RTU and duct design/air balance experience.
  • Familiarity with mini-split start-ups and controls integration.
