To thrive as an HVAC Design Engineer, you need a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, HVAC system design, and relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Proficiency with design software like AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation tools, along with certifications such as LEED or PE licensure, is typically required. Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication help you collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
