Responsibilities
Assist the Pathologist in the gross room and autopsies and is responsible for a variety of duties including: 1) assisting at frozen sections, 2) assisting at fine needle aspiration biopsies, 3) stocking and delivery of supplies, 4) transport specimens and slides, 5) filing 6) answer telephone, 7) handle hazardous materials; and, 8) accurately label and number the cases. Special projects or other assignments may be given with expectation to be completed in a specified timeframe.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  2. Minimum 1-year hospital laboratory experience required or Associates Degree in Biology

Desert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.00 to $26.65. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
