This position is based onsite at our outpatient facility located in South River, New Jersey. The clinic is designed to foster a supportive and therapeutic environment, equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technologies and tools. Our staff operates as a close-knit team, ensuring that all team members are aligned with our mission to provide exceptional care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, providing a consistent routine and work-life balance.

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients, assessing their physical capabilities through diagnostic tests that evaluate muscle strength, range of motion, and joint function.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual goals and clinical needs.
• Direct and supervise the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to the prescribed plan of care.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as traction and massage while educating patients on their role in recovery.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, while adhering to compliance standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively design and assess comprehensive care plans for patients.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on clinical observations and patient feedback.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on the latest physical therapy practices and methodologies.

The patients you will serve vary widely, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, or chronic pain. Your expertise will help enhance their physical functionality and independence. You will empower patients through education and support, instilling confidence as they work toward recovery.

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess an active and unobstructed Physical Therapist license to practice in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated proficiency in an array of manual therapy techniques, with a strong ability to design effective exercise programs.
• Solid understanding of current physical therapy practices, evidenced by participation in ongoing education and professional development.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) with experience in systems such as Web PT.

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Background in sports medicine and rehabilitation techniques.
• Previous experience working with diverse patient populations, adapting treatment modalities to meet varied needs.
