A leading engineering firm is seeking a Design Task Leader / Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale desalination and advanced water treatment projects across Texas. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of one of the most significant water infrastructure programs in the country, supporting major coastal markets and long-term water supply initiatives.
This role is ideal for a senior-level engineering leader who excels in delivering complex infrastructure projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and building strong client relationships. The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping high-impact projects while helping grow a rapidly expanding water and desalination practice.

Key Responsibilities
ย 
  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of large desalination and advanced treatment projects (seawater and brackish systems)
  • Oversee planning, design, procurement, construction support, and commissioning phases
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and overall project financial performance
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental disciplines
  • Provide senior technical leadership on systems including reverse osmosis, pretreatment, post-treatment, and brine management
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure successful project execution
  • Mentor and develop engineering teams while driving quality and accountability

Qualifications
ย 
  • 15+ years of experience in water infrastructure, with strong desalination or advanced treatment exposure
  • Proven experience leading large, complex municipal or infrastructure projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of desalination systems (RO, pretreatment, post-treatment, etc.)
  • Demonstrated leadership in project delivery, client management, and team development
  • PE license required (or ability to obtain)
