Position Overview

Radiance Skin Dermatology is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Dermatology Physician Assistant to join our full-time team in Tallahassee, Florida. Work Environment

This position offers an onsite work setting, located within a hospital facility that provides various medical services. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a powerful interdisciplinary team approach that leverages diverse expertise to optimize patient outcomes. You will work Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, creating a balanced work schedule that allows you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Tallahassee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and take detailed medical histories from patients presenting with dermatological issues.
  • Assist supervising physicians in accurately diagnosing and treating a variety of skin conditions, including but not limited to eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures such as suturing and skin biopsies, utilizing sterile techniques to ensure patient safety.
  • Educate patients on effective skincare regimens and preventative measures for skin diseases, fostering long-term health and wellness.
  • Prescribe and manage medications needed for effective treatment of dermatological conditions as appropriate.
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely and accurate results that inform treatment decisions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be responsible for providing care to a broad patient demographic, from children to seniors, addressing both medical and cosmetic dermatological needs. This includes treatment of common conditions as well as complex cases requiring in-depth supervisory collaboration.

Qualifications
  • A current and active Physician Assistant certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a dermatology setting, demonstrating competence in managing patient cases independently under supervision.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and data management is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of specific experience in a dermatology practice, allowing for familiarity with dermatological terminology, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Successful completion of a structured training program within dermatology, with a focus on clinical practice and patient management.
  • Ability to treat a diverse patient population with varying dermatological conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
