Job description
The Procedure Center at the Anschutz Campus is a 9 room unit that treats children and adolescents for a wide range of conditions. The unit supports 18 different surgical and medical specialties and performs more than 6,600 cases a year. We are a unique, yet impressive team comprised of bachelor's prepared nurses, certified surgical technicians, dental assistants, anesthesia technicians, anesthesia providers, advanced practice providers, physicians, and surgeons. The staff in the Procedure Center are proud to provide safe quality of care to our patients. We perform a wide variety of procedures including gastrointestinal procedures, dental procedures, burn procedures, eye procedures, gynecologic procedures, dermatologic procedures, neurology procedures, and many other types of procedures. Our nurses and surgical technologists receive extensive training and education in all procedures, promoting communication, teamwork, and critical thinking. We promote continued education and encourage staff to pursue certifications. You will find our team to be a passionate and intelligent interdisciplinary team focused on providing excellent care to our patients, in a fast-paced environment.
Department Name: Anschutz Procedure Center
Job Status: full time, 40 hours per week, eligible for benefits
Shift: either four 10-hour or five 8-hour shifts per week (to be discussed during interview). Hours either 0700-1530 or 0700-1730 (also to be discussed during interview)
*Will be required to occasionally float to the North Campus (Broomfield) and South Campus (Highlands Ranch). Weeknight call required from end of shift until 1900 three to four times per month. Weekend call required from 0700-1530 once every four to six months. Rotating holiday call.
This position is eligible for relocation assistance, if relocating from 100 miles or greater.
Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
EXPERIENCE - One (1) year of nursing experience. Prefer candidates with at least three years of nursing experience. Previous Procedure Center and/or Operating Room Nurse experience strongly preferred.
EQUIVALENCY- Applicants with an Associate's Degree in Nursing and who agree to obtain a BSN within three (3) years from their start/hire date may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's Entry to Practice Nursing (MEPN) may substitute for a BSN.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S) - Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or RN license from multistate compact; BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least six (6) months left before expiration is required upon hire.
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Hourly Range: $38.34 to $57.52
