Job description

About Clear Street:
Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem. Founded in 2018, Clear Street is a diversified financial services firm replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets.
We started from scratch by building a completely cloud-native clearing and custody system designed for today's complex, global market. Our platform is fully integrated with central clearing houses and exchanges to support billions in trading volume per day. We've agonized about our data model abstractions, created horizontal scalability, and crafted thoughtful APIs. All so we can provide a best-in-class experience for our clients.
By combining highly-skilled product and engineering talent with seasoned finance professionals, we're building the essentials to compete in today's fast-paced markets.
The Team
Clear Street operates a FINRA-registered broker-dealer alongside an SEC-regulated Security-Based Swap Dealer, Clear Street Derivatives (CSD). CSD provides a comprehensive suite of derivatives solutions, including total return swaps, synthetic stock loan, index products, and flow derivatives. The platform is designed to deliver flexible, capital-efficient solutions tailored to institutional clients across asset classes.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our U.S. derivatives platform. This individual will play a key role in expanding our institutional client base by delivering differentiated, market-relevant ideas across derivatives and adjacent asset classes.
The ideal candidate combines strong product expertise with a consultative sales approach-able to identify client needs, structure bespoke solutions, and effectively communicate value across a range of market environments. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally and contribute to the continued growth of Clear Street's global platform.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior member of the U.S. institutional sales team, driving idea generation, execution, and distribution across both opportunistic and thematic derivative strategies
  • Develop and execute a scalable U.S. sales strategy, partnering with global teams to enhance sales processes, client coverage, and relationship management
  • Engage directly with institutional clients to deliver tailored trade ideas aligned with market dynamics and portfolio objectives
  • Partner with trading desks to originate and refine single-name and thematic investment opportunities
  • Educate clients on Clear Street's platform capabilities while identifying and driving cross-selling opportunities across products and geographies
  • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to enhance client-facing tools and infrastructure, contributing to a best-in-class user experience
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across a broad spectrum of institutional investors

Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience in institutional sales covering derivatives and multi-asset products (equities, fixed income, and structured solutions)
  • Established relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, banks, and sovereign entities
  • Deep understanding of equity derivatives, including listed/flex options, synthetic stock loan, OTC products, and swaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and execute complex transactions and deliver actionable investment ideas
  • Proven track record of consultative selling and delivering customized client solutions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, actionable insights
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across trading, product, and technology teams
  • Required licenses: Series 7 and 63
  • Preferred: Series 3, 4, 24 and 55
