Summary About the Position: This position is located at the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC). Serves as secretary to the Commander and Deputy Commander of the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC). Responsibilities Establish and provide continuity in office operations through administrative and communication channels, policies, and executive support. Provide daily calendar to the Commander/Deputy Commander along with background briefs or data to consider in meetings. Review staff studies, analyze findings, advise/suggest additional information necessary for review, assist in problem identification, and formulate recommendations. Serve as primary contact for calls and visitors to the Command Group office. Use Automated Data-Processing (ADP) equipment/systems to maintain files, transmit information, search/research files and records, and store and extract material from a variety of sources using various software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets). Make arrangements and perform detailed coordination for conferences, meetings, etc. Utilize and/or modify computer and other programs as required to establish appropriate information systems for the office. Arrange for lodging accommodations, itineraries, schedules, and appointments while on business travel, coordination with higher headquarters, and military leave when necessary.
