What You’ll Do
  • Leading economic development programs, initiatives, and partnerships that support business attraction, retention, and expansion.
  • Developing and implementing strategic policies and initiatives that align with the City’s vision and long-term goals.
  • Overseeing grant development, administration, compliance, and reporting to maximize external funding opportunities.
  • Managing contract administration activities, including procurement coordination, negotiations, and performance oversight.
  • Facilitating complex public-private partnerships and fostering strong relationships with business leaders, developers, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders.
  • Supporting land use and development initiatives that promote sustainable economic growth and community investment.
  • Coordinating cross-departmental projects and ensuring successful implementation of City Council priorities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience – Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, retail management, public administration, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible administrative or staff experience in municipal government including two (2) years of management experience.
