Job Summary & Objectives
The Litigation Staff Attorney will assist Associates, Counsel, and Partners in various matters, including litigation and internal & government investigations.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Review of documents in electronic platforms, including Relativity, for responsiveness, privilege, and issue coding
  • Creating searches to identify documents on electronic review platforms
  • Preparing fact summaries and chronologies
  • Communicating with supervising attorneys and colleagues regarding review findings and questions and issues with review
  • Assisting with deposition preparation, including analysis and selection of documents to be utilized in deposition preparation sessions
  • Assisting with preparation for witness interviews including identifying relevant documents
  • Other tasks as needed

EDUCATION
REQUIRED
โ€ข Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
  • Admission to bar of local office jurisdiction
  • Strong technical and computer skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with the litigation process, specifically the discovery process and related documents
  • Thorough understanding of privilege law and issues
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred
  • Prior experience with electronic document review platforms, including Relativity
  • Prior experience preparing privilege logs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS)

  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions as in typical office or administrative work (normal light, air and space in the work environment)
Salary Information
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
