What's the role?

As a Retail Operations Inventory Auditor & Controls, you will be responsible for supporting various inventory and auditing procedures that help ensure accurate reporting and control of store asset balances. The Retail Operations Inventory Auditor (Inventory Auditor) travels to stores within and outside Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands to conduct physical inventory counts of serialized and non-serialized equipment, audit cash handling procedures, and evaluate security measures ensuring all aspects align with operational standards and compliance requirements. Provides the tracking and improvement of internal control procedures based on system analysis reporting and reconciling of Sales & Controls.ย 

How can you add value?

  • Generate on-site audits to ensure compliance and assess risks in inventory accuracy control processes and results.
  • Responsible for the review of demonstration devices, resolve problems detected during the review and perform complete cash count on one hand.
  • Review the security video system to ensure system is operable and recording. Verifies through video review that the inventory room door is closed, tablets are not unsecured, and cash is secured.
  • Complete an evaluation of deposit paperwork to verify armored courier pickup is recorded accurately.
  • Review departmental process and interpersonal policies as the need arises.
  • Responsible for presenting audit findings, consequences and recommendations to operational management and assisting in the implementation of recommended improvements.
  • Audit related to any product & marketing offers.
  • Perform data analytics procedures to identify trends, anomalies and potential control / policy exceptions.
  • Communicate audit results, consequences, and recommendations to operating management and assist in implementation of recommended improvements.
  • Complete offsite review of point-of-sale transaction samples for manual discounts, bill credits, and warranty exchanges.
  • Validate that the location follows established metrics for cash overages and shortages, bill credits, trade-in discrepancies, coaching discussions, return shipments, and trade-in shipments.
  • Verify that location does not exceed established parameters for employees with the ability to complete price overrides.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory issues at assigned locations on a timely basis through effective interaction with Store Managers.
  • Identify failures to implement accurate inventory management and reporting cases to appropriate members of management.
  • Special audits, including HR cases and PMO projects.
  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty PR and LLA policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.
  • Other functions that may be assigned.

What do you need?

Education and/or experience:

Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, Major in Accounting or Business-related fields preferred.

2-5 years of experience working in an inventory or a related area to include inventory analysis, management, audit and research.

Other Qualifications:

  • Fully bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Willing to travel
  • Computer literate with sophisticated familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
  • Results oriented with ability to accomplish work in a team, fast paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills, especially in the areas of operational improvement and problem solving.
  • Ability to handle several projects and tasks at the same time.
