Essential Job Functions:

1. Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Deposit Operations support, product management, process improvement, and operational project execution.

2. Directly supervise and develop the Deposit Ops Support Manager and Deposit Ops Product Manager, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and professional development plans.

3. Ensure branch support, teller operations, account servicing, card services, and related deposit operational functions are delivered accurately, consistently, and in alignment with service expectations.

4. Oversee the ticket-based support model, including service levels, queue performance, backlog management, escalation handling, and root-cause analysis.

5. Establish and maintain operational product standards, process requirements, documentation expectations, and enterprise-wide procedural consistency.

6. Lead the development and execution of the deposit operations roadmap, including product enhancements, process standardization, technology improvements, and operational initiatives.

7. Prioritize department initiatives using operational metrics, ticket trends, defect analysis, risk indicators, frontline feedback, and business impact.

8. Partner with Front Line, IT, Training, Compliance, Risk, Audit, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective planning, implementation, adoption, and ongoing support of operational changes.

9. Ensure new products, process changes, system enhancements, and procedural updates are supported by clear rollout plans, training alignment, communication, and post-implementation monitoring.

10. Drive continuous improvement efforts that reduce manual workarounds, errors, cycle time, repeat issues, and support demand.

11. Oversee audit readiness for deposit operations support activities, new account documentation, IRA oversight, card services, and other assigned operational functions.

12. Ensure operational processes are scalable, well-controlled, properly documented, and aligned with applicable internal controls and regulatory expectations.

13. Serve as a senior escalation point for complex or high-impact operational issues, coordinating timely resolution and long-term corrective action.

14. Develop reporting and performance insights for department leadership, including support volumes, service levels, defect trends, project status, adoption results, and risk or compliance concerns.

15. Recruit, Manage, Develop and Retain Deposit Operations staff.

16. Promote a culture of accountability, service excellence, business friendly collaboration, process discipline, regulatory awareness, and continuous improvement.

17. Encourage creativity and collaboration and serve as a change agent.

18. Maintain strong working knowledge of deposit operations, deposit products, teller workflows, account servicing requirements, card-related operations, and emerging operational trends.

19. Ability to travel to other markets and branches to collaborate with business leaders and establish and maintain feedback loops to enhance products and processes.

20. Ensure adherence to the Bank’s Information Security Program.

21. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.

22. Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor or management to support departmental goals.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in banking operations, deposit operations, product management, process improvement, or related financial services leadership
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience, including leadership of managers, specialists, analysts, or cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of frontline banking operations, including teller operations, new account servicing, account maintenance, card services, IRA support, and branch operational support
  • Demonstrated ability to lead operational strategy, support delivery, product/process enhancements, and cross-functional projects from planning through adoption
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using metrics, service trends, audit findings, risk indicators, and frontline feedback to prioritize improvements and measure performance
  • Working knowledge of banking regulations, internal controls, operational risk management, audit readiness, and policy/procedure governance
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
