Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The DevOps Engineer will utilize modern tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc and will be responsible for providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. They will be expected to incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations, develop technical documentation, and develop system architecture and design documentation.
Further duties will include guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. They will have the ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and will be able to effectively communicate with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications
  • Drive consistency for deployment and build processes
  • Focus on understanding customers' needs and translating those needs from product specifications into functional, production ready code and infrastructure
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies
  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • You are a self-driven, self-learner willing to share knowledge and participate actively in a team environment

Clearance
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Experience
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

  • Utilize modern tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Linux, and much more
  • You have worked with teams before on large and demonstrable projects (preferably built on with AWS and familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python)

  • You understand how to set up a CI/CD pipeline
  • You understand Agile software development and DevOps practices and can work closely with your peers other mid-to large size teams
