What You’ll Do

The Legal Order Specialist position is responsible for the handling of legal documentation related to clients of FourLeaf Federal Credit Union. Determines the enforceability of orders, searches systems of record, and takes proper action to document and execute orders within service level standards. Escalates complex requests to peers, management, and counsel as needed. Aids management with special projects such as reporting and process improvements.

Core Contributions

  • Legal Process Management: Review and process time-sensitive legal documents, including subpoenas, warrants, levies, liens, and bankruptcies.
  • Legal Orders/Service: Analyze and interpret time-sensitive requests and accurately completes within service level standards, including but not limited to financial transactions, requestor response and notification to clients when applicable.
  • Documentation: Handle standard documentation and files associated with daily activities, which may include processing, reviewing, or distributing materials. Maintain and update department records either physically or within a system.
  • Legal Technology Administration: Administer, update, and maintain legal systems, databases, and SharePoint sites.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows within the legal department to improve efficiency.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Support document management for risk and legal teams and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to resolve outstanding issues.

Assets You Will Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of bank/credit union operations and regulatory/legal environments, including familiarity with legal orders such as garnishments, levies, and subpoenas, and applicable New York and New Jersey state laws.
  • Computer Skills: MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

The estimated salary for this role is $28.99 to $34.06 per hour.
