As an Operations Manager, you won't just manage routes. You'll lead a team of dedicated professionals responsible for delivering exceptional service to hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, and healthcare providers throughout the region. You will work closely with drivers, dispatchers, supervisors, customers, and executive leadership to ensure operational excellence, continuous improvement, and outstanding customer service every day.


Position Summary

Accurate Courier Services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our San Diego operations.

The Operations Manager supports the company's mission of helping healthcare organizations achieve their patient care goals through reliable, efficient, and innovative logistics solutions. This role partners with executive leadership to execute operational strategies, achieve financial objectives, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations. Healthcare logistics experience is preferred. (10+ years preferred.)
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience managing regional fleet operations or same day delivery networks.
  • Experience using technology and data to drive operational decision making.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving operational and financial results.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into measurable execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop, motivate, and retain high performing teams.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Just in Time (JIT) methodologies is a plus.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Operations Supervisors, Dispatchers, Medical Courier Drivers, and office personnel.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly while ensuring exceptional service.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and service quality.
  • Develop and improve operational systems, reporting, workflows, and business processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable Federal, State, OSHA, DOT, IATA, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Oversee compliance for all company and owner operator vehicles.
  • Collaborate effectively with Human Resources, Finance, IT, Safety, and other support departments.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long term operational planning.
  • Develop contingency and risk management plans to ensure uninterrupted customer service.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of operational initiatives and process improvements.
  • Prepare and participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews with customers.
  • Support business development efforts, customer implementations, and organizational growth.

Other Requirements

  • Negative TB test (provided by the company).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
