Denture/Removable Prosthetics Technician


Full time opening is available for an experienced Denture/Removable Prosthetics Technician to join a stable and growing dental laboratory in the Durham, NC area. Our lab has built a reputation for supplying customers with exceptional quality and service.


Absolute Dental Lab specializes in fixed dental prosthetics with an emphasis on dental implant restorations. Working with top clinicians, prosthodontists, and dental schools throughout the country we restore complex, combination, and fixed hybrid cases.


We are seeking an experienced Denture/Removable Prosthetics Technician with exceptional skills, who knows how to effectively work independently and in a team environment. This position will include both hands on technician bench work as well as management oversight duties. If you want to be a part of something truly special and are looking for a long-term career, this position might be for you. Our lab places a high emphasis on teaching and improving our technicians' skill sets. Although we believe in ongoing training for our employees, this is NOT an entry-level or trainee position.


This position is for high-end Removables and requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in removable prosthetics. Candidates with experience focused on full set ups is a plus! Knowledge of materials, protocols, and procedures is an absolute must.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Required

  • 5+ years of Dental technician experience or background.
  • High level organizational skills, time management skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage technology in work processes
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures and best practices in the industry


Physical Requirements

  • Sitting - Sitting Continuous for 8+ hours
  • Standing - Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time
  • Bending - Bending or stooping continuously for 8+ hours
  • Lift/Push/Carry - Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 15lbs
  • Vision - The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures


Additional Physical Requirements

  • Crouching. Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine, 8+ hours
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, pinch, grasp.
  • Able to use hand tools with repetitive vibration and manual dexterity.


Work Conditions

  • Must be able to wear personnel protective equipment for tasks requiring them.
  • The worker is subject to vibration, exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.


Work Eligibility

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must pass work eligibility requirements
