Job Description
Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout treatment
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
Manage patient records including updating medical histories and treatment documentation using Dentrix software
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering to ensure efficient practice operations
Support scheduling and patient flow coordination to optimize clinic productivity
Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned to support the dental team
Salary Range
Part-time $18 - $25 per hour
- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
Shift & Schedule
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM โ 4:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM โ 2:00 PM
Requirements
- Dentrix
- Eaglesoft
- Open Dental
Certified or Registered Dental Assistant credential required
Proficiency in Dentrix dental software is essential
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control standards
Ability to take and process dental X-rays
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt
Preferences
Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred
