Job description

Overview

Are you a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys building high-performing teams?Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a Dental Manager to support the daily operations of our dental clinic while helping create an organized, welcoming, and patient-focused environment for both staff and patients.This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinic operations, supporting staff development, improving workflows, and ensuring high-quality customer service across the dental program. The Dental Manager works closely with providers, leadership, and operational departments to support efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.If you are highly organized, solution-focused, collaborative, and passionate about healthcare leadership, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting integrated care services within the community.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily clinic operations including patient registration, scheduling, financial intake, and inventory control
  • Supervise and support dental hygienists, assistants, receptionists, and interns
  •  Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate staff performance
  •  Participate in management, operational, and quality improvement meetings
  • Coordinate provider credentialing and registration with Medicaid, Medicare, and other payers
  • Manage training and utilization of dental software systems including Medi, DrFirst, and eClinicalWorks
  • Address patient concerns and promote a high standard of customer service
  • Serve as liaison for operational functions including Facilities, IT, Payroll, Marketing, and Accounts Receivable
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and regulatory standards
  • Assist with operational planning, workflow improvements, and clinic efficiency initiatives
  • Promote Chestnut Health Systems' Recovery Values and customer service standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational, employee, and patient information
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational operations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field with at least two years of administrative experience in a dental or healthcare setting required; OR
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three years of dental management experience required
  • Strong knowledge of dental office procedures and dental software systems required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications requiredExcellent interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and communication skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and supervise staff independently
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Compensation

The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $60,000 to $76,960 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, education, internal equity, and local market conditions.
