LoPour & Associates DDS Smiles by Design is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our long-established, patient-centered dental practice. We are a modern family and cosmetic dental office that values teamwork, professionalism, kindness, and excellence in patient care.

Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in attention to detail, and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for. This is a full-time job averaging 35 hours per week, with a 4-day workweek (Monday through Thursday). Knowledge of and ability to work with Dentrix Dental Software is required for this position. We require all job applicants to have at least 1 year of experience with Dentrix Dental Software to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper infection control protocols are followed
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
  • Take digital radiographs and intraoral images
  • Perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques
  • Maintain accurate patient records, health history, and charting
  • Enter treatment plans per dentist
  • Educate patients regarding treatment and oral health
  • Assist with impressions, temporary crowns, scanning, and other expanded duties
  • Monitor inventory and help maintain organized clinical areas
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Ensure a positive and welcoming patient experience
  • Support team members and help maintain a smooth daily flow

Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting Experience in a general, family or cosmetic dental practice is required (3 years minimum)
  • Dentrix Dental Software proficiency is required
  • Coronal Polishing and Radiology certifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset required
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized is required
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
