Job description

We are seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our General Dentistry practice. This role focuses on providing comprehensive oral care and patient education to a diverse patient population including adults, children, and seniors. The ideal candidate will excel in infection control and record keeping, and work collaboratively with dentists to deliver personalized dental hygiene care. Our practice uses Open Dental software and offers longer appointment times with a low patient volume, ensuring quality care and thorough attention to each patient.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and oral prophylaxis
  • Maintain accurate dental charting and handle radiographs
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
  • Implement strict infection control and sterilize dental equipment
  • Keep detailed patient records using Open Dental software
  • Collaborate closely with dentists to support patient treatment plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in dental hygiene
  • Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License
  • Proficient in dental radiography and infection control protocols
