Our products, including anchor windlasses, steering systems, winches, elevators, and bridging systems, play a critical role in supporting naval and commercial marine operations.
As part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you will have the opportunity to lead complex programs that directly impact our customers' missions and strategic objectives. At Jered, Program Managers operate as "Mini General Managers," accountable for the overall success of their programs across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction. As Program Manager, you will lead complex government and commercial programs from proposal through delivery and sustainment, serving as the primary customer interface while driving cross-functional execution across engineering, operations, procurement, contracts, finance, and manufacturing teams.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational leadership skills, a deep understanding of government contracting, and the ability to successfully balance customer expectations, business objectives, and program performance. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex challenges, and are passionate about delivering results, we'd love to hear from you.

Success will also be demonstrated through the ability to apply government contracting requirements, execute disciplined program management practices, resolve challenges through data-driven decision making, support business growth through proposal and capture activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and program performance. Strong communication, leadership, and customer engagement skills will be critical to ensuring successful program outcomes and long-term customer partnerships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of program management, project management, or engineering leadership experience, preferably within defense, government contracting, manufacturing, or engineered systems environments.

  • Experience managing program scope, schedule, cost, risk, and customer communications.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Government contracting practices, including FAR and DFARS requirements.
  • Proficiency with program planning tools, project management systems, and performance reporting methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
  • PMP, DAU, or equivalent project management certification.

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), baseline control, business analytics, and program performance metrics.
  • Experience transitioning development programs into production and sustainment environments.

  • First-of-a-kind product culture and project exposure
  • Training and development from industry-leading experts
  • Cutting edge benefit programs that include: 401(k) & matching; Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance; Disability & Life Insurance; PTO, Paid Holidays, & Parental Leave for both Parents; Tuition Reimbursement
