What is a dental program manager?

A Dental Program Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the operations and administration of dental care programs within organizations such as clinics, public health departments, or healthcare networks. They manage staff, coordinate dental services, ensure compliance with regulations, and develop strategies to improve patient care. Their duties often include budgeting, reporting, quality assurance, and collaborating with dental professionals and community partners to enhance the effectiveness of dental programs.

Dental Program Managers often oversee operations at several clinics, requiring them to balance standardizing procedures with addressing the unique needs of each location. A common challenge is ensuring consistent quality of care and compliance with regulations across all sites.
