As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for our patients from the moment they arrive. You will check in patients, update and maintain their medical records, and assist in dental procedures by preparing the laboratory and instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Check in patients and notify providers of their arrival.
  • Monitor and update patient charts, including entering visit dates and provider names on daily log sheets.
  • Add necessary documentation such as treatment plans, periodontal charts, and consent forms to medical records.
  • Record daily patient appointment data.
  • Maintain the dental laboratory by preparing instruments and managing lab cases, including check-in, pouring impressions, storage, and sending cases out.
  • Complete lab log sheets accurately.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with ECW and Eclinical Works software.
  • Patient care and dental assisting skills.
  • Proficiency in charting and maintaining comprehensive medical records.
  • Completion of a Dental Assistant program or relevant work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional communication skills.
  • Customer service abilities.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
  • Experience in hygiene, healthcare, and sterilization.
  • At least 6 months of dental assistant experience.
  • Certification preferred but not required.
  • EMR experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment

The role requires working Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Tuesday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. The environment is supportive and dedicated to providing respectful care to all members of the community.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haverstraw, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
