Organization Overview

A valued client of Denali Staffing Group is a behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) services organization based in Anchorage, Alaska. The organization is approved under the Alaska 1115 Behavioral Health (BH) Waiver, the 1115 SUD Waiver, and the Alaska State Plan for multiple behavioral health programs.

The organization provides integrated mental health and substance use treatment services across the continuum of care, serving individuals and families throughout Alaska.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological assessments, diagnostic testing, and evidence-based therapy for individuals receiving mental health and substance use disorder services.

The Clinical Psychologist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, individualized care. Flexible in-person, telehealth, or hybrid scheduling may be available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological and psychodiagnostic assessments, including standardized testing when clinically appropriate.
  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
  • Prepare comprehensive assessment reports and incorporate findings into individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with psychiatric providers, therapists, SUD counselors, case managers, and program leadership.
  • Provide clinical consultation for complex diagnostic and co-occurring disorder cases.
  • Participate in treatment-team meetings, case reviews, and quality-improvement activities.
  • Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with Alaska Medicaid, 1115 Waiver, and State Plan requirements.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Active, unrestricted Alaska psychology license or eligibility for Alaska licensure or reciprocity.
  • Experience conducting psychological and psychodiagnostic testing.
  • Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions preferred.
  • Telehealth experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and EHR skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and credentialing.
