Job description

Job Title: Demolition Estimator

Position Type: Full-time/Exempt, 1st shift Monday – Friday, paid weekly

Location: Cleves, OH (on-site) – Must be local

Reports To: Pre-construction Manager

We are looking for an Estimator to join our growing team. Job Summary:

A Demolition Estimator is responsible for determining the total cost of demolition projects by creating comprehensive and quality estimates. This position offers a path for career advancement and opportunities for growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will be visiting sites across the region and handling thorough preparation and demolition estimates
  • Gather and analyze proposals, blueprints, and specification for work to be estimated
  • Complete cost analysis and requirements for labor, material, and time
  • Build, document, and maintains a database for cost analysis
  • Perform takeoff calculations efficiently
  • Manage multiple projects with firm deadlines
  • Utilize a unique perspective on problem resolution by collecting and analyzing information, blueprints and specifications
  • Interpret project specifications, drawings, and contracts
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to make sure estimates include proper pricing
  • Attend pre bid meetings, understanding bid documents to include plans and specs
  • Attend company internal pre-construction meetings
  • Report and review estimates with Chief Estimator


Qualifications:

  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of civil site work, including but not limited to erosion control, clearing, demolition, earthwork, and utilities
  • A propensity for accurate and organized estimates
  • Able to read construction plans and bid request documentation
  • Must be computer literate and have knowledge of Bluebeam or similar takeoff software
  • Ability to interact with our clientele and meet them personally if required for scope meetings
  • Highly precise and diligent demeanor, focused on follow through, takes pride in getting the task done on time and correctly
  • Ability to remain flexible to lead multiple work streams to execute a plan and complete a project
  • Independent, while maintaining a focus on team success
  • Desire to build and maintain sincere relationships, working ethically and accurately within established guidelines


Education/Experience Requirements:

  • 3 years of prior estimating experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction-related software and OSHA regulations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office software
