Job Description


OVERVIEW & QUALIFICATIONS

Michael Kinder and Sons (MKS), a fourth-generation family-owned Design-Build Construction Firm is seeking hard-working, dedicated individuals to join the field team. Michael Kinder and Sons is building a highly motivated field team that will contribute to a growing organization by providing a quality finished product from start to finish.


AVAILABLE POSITIONS

  1. Carpenter | Carpenter's primary work performed is cutting, shaping and installing building materials. Some common duties may include: forming of concrete footings, walls, slabs, and stairs; wood framing, millwork, and casework installation; installation of doors, frames, and hardware; metal stud framing, drywall hanging, acoustic ceilings; installation of toilet partitions and accessories; installation of wood and metal siding products; pre-engineered metal building erection and various others.
  2. Laborer | Laborers perform a various duties that frequently requires assisting other trades-people. Some typical responsibilities may include material handling and distribution, operating and maintaining equipment, selective demolition, concrete placement, reinforcing steel installation, and general clean-up.
  3. Cement Mason | Cement Masons (Concrete Finishers) work with concrete by placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete. Some common duties may include setting low formwork, placing and screeding concrete, float and trowel concrete, and applying sealers or hardening products to concrete. MKS performs a wide range of concrete work, including building foundations, interior slabs, exterior sidewalks, and curbs.

COMPENSATION & BENEFIT OPPORTUNITIES

  • Compensation | Pay is based on experience and union scale

  • Standard Work Hours | 7:00a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
    • Hours may vary due to daylight conditions and project schedules. Overtime may be required.

  • Experience is preferred but not required
  • Apprenticeship programs are available if you are not a skilled journeyman
