Job Overview

West Coast Removal is seeking experienced, hands-on Demolition Foremen to lead commercial selective demolition projects. This role is ideal for a working leader who takes ownership of the jobsite, drives productivity, and ensures safety and accountability at every level.

As a Foreman, you will oversee field operations, manage crew workflow, coordinate with Project Managers, and actively participate in demolition activities. You will play a critical role in maintaining production schedules, identifying potential change orders, enforcing safety standards, and delivering high-quality results for our clients.

We are hiring two(2) Foremen to support our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site leadership to clarify job priorities and manage workflow

  • Supervise and work alongside crew members during demolition operations

  • Read and interpret construction drawings, sketches, and survey points

  • Coordinate daily with Project Managers regarding progress, challenges, and potential change orders

  • Motivate, train, and hold crew members accountable for performance and safety

  • Complete accurate Daily Job Sheets and required documentation

  • Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and company safety standards

  • Ensure crew members wear proper PPE and follow all safety protocols

  • Oversee tool and equipment readiness; report damaged or missing equipment immediately

  • Strategically purchase job materials using company-issued card (proper receipt documentation required)

  • Perform selective demolition tasks including demo of walls, ceilings, flooring, fixtures, and other building components

  • Load and unload materials, tools, and debris

  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness and professional customer interaction

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support field operations

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of demolition or construction experience (Foreman or leadership experience preferred)

  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record

  • Ability to be approved under company insurance guidelines

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans

  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling and crew supervision

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Reliable, punctual, organized, and accountable

  • Comfortable working 40+ hours per week, including overtime, weekends, day and night work, in town and out of town

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

  • First Aid, Scissor Lift, and Forklift certifications are a plus (training provided if needed)

  • Equipment operation experience a plus (skidsteer, mini-ex, concrete saw, flooring removal machines, etc.)

  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, climb, and use hands and arms fully

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly

  • Ability to work in physically demanding jobsite environments

  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
