Positionnement du role et objectifs
Ce role est responsable de la direction du processus de prevision de la demande pour plusieurs categories au Canada, en fournissant des projections precises et fondees sur les donnees afin d'eclairer la planification marketing, commerciale, de la chaine d'approvisionnement et financiere. Il favorise l'amelioration continue de la precision des previsions et la reduction des biais grace a l'analytique avancee, a la collaboration interfonctionnelle et a l'integration de l'intelligence du marche. Le role soutient egalement le processus S&OP en articulant clairement les cibles et en identifiant les sensibilites cles.
Vos principales responsabilites incluront:
- Diriger le cycle mensuel de planification de la demande, en assurant des previsions precises et ponctuelles, alignees sur les objectifs commerciaux.
- Animer les reunions de consensus sur la demande dans le cadre du processus S&OP, en assurant la clarte des hypotheses, des risques et des opportunites.
- Etre un partenaire d'affaires efficace aupres de plusieurs parties prenantes interfonctionnelles de niveau senior (notamment en Marketing, Finance et Chaine d'approvisionnement).
- Analyser les ventes historiques, les tendances du marche, les activites de tarification et les lancements de nouveaux produits pour affiner les modeles de prevision.
- Suivre et rapporter la precision des previsions (DFA, biais) et piloter des initiatives d'amelioration continue.
- Collaborer avec les equipes commerciales et marketing pour integrer des insights qualitatifs aux previsions statistiques.
- Assurer la gouvernance et le respect des normes, outils et meilleures pratiques en matiere de prevision.
- Encadrer et developper les planificateurs juniors, en renforcant leurs capacites analytiques et leur sens des affaires.
- Collaborer avec les equipes TI et analytiques pour ameliorer les outils de prevision, l'automatisation, la communication et la qualite des donnees.

- Solides competences en analyse et en modelisation statistique; maitrise d'Excel et des outils de prevision (SAP, APO).
- Une connaissance pratique de Kinaxis constitue un atout important.

Experience requise
- De 5 a 10 ans d'experience en planification de la demande, en prevision et/ou en analyse de la chaine d'approvisionnement dans l'industrie du tabac.
- Experience averee dans la gestion de portefeuilles multicategories et dans des environnements interfonctionnels.
- Exposition a l'analyse statistique, aux previsions, aux analyses quantitatives et qualitatives, ainsi qu'a l'analyse de la concurrence.
- Connaissance des processus S&OP/IBP et de la gouvernance en matiere de previsions.
- Une experience dans les reseaux de vente au detail et de distribution au Canada constitue un atout.
- Capacite a evoluer dans un environnement en transformation rapide, avec des delais serres et des priorites changeantes.
Formation / qualifications / certifications requises
- Baccalaureat en chaine d'approvisionnement, affaires, statistiques, economie ou dans un domaine connexe.
- Une formation en prevision statistique ou en science des donnees constitue un atout.
- Etre actuellement legalement autorise a travailler au Canada.

ROLE SUMMARY
Role positioning and objectives
This role is responsible for leading the demand forecasting process across multiple categories in Canada, delivering accurate, data-driven projections that inform marketing, commercial, supply chain, and financial planning. It drives continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias reduction through advanced analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and the integration of market intelligence. The role also supports the S&OP process by clearly articulating targets and identifying key sensitivities.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Lead the monthly demand planning cycle, ensuring timely, accurate forecasts and alignment with business targets.
- Facilitate demand consensus meetings as part of the S&OP process, ensuring clarity on assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
- Be an effective business partner to multiple cross functional senior stakeholders (specifically within Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain).
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, pricing activities, and new product launches to refine forecast models.
- Monitor and report forecast accuracy (DFA, Bias) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to integrate qualitative insights into statistical forecasts.
- Ensure governance and adherence to forecasting standards, tools, and best practices.
- Coach and develop junior planners, fostering analytical capability and business acumen.
- Partner with IT and analytics teams to enhance forecasting tools, automation, communication and data quality.

- Exposure to S&OP/IBP processes and forecasting governance.
- Experience with Canadian retail and distribution networks is an asset.
- Ability to operate in rapidly evolving environment with quick turn around and stretched timeline.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- Training in statistical forecasting or data science is a plus.
- Bilingual (French and English) - Knowledge of English is required because the role deals with customers and suppliers elsewhere in Canada and around the world.
