Role Overview

The IT Data & Analytics Intern - Asset Demand & Procurement supports data-driven insights related to IT asset demand planning, purchasing trends, and financial tracking. This role provides hands-on experience analyzing asset demand, purchase order activity, and spending patterns. The intern assists with reports and dashboards, identifies trends, and supports data accuracy to improve forecasting and procurement decision-making while partnering with IT, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Mitsubishi Power core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self and others, and ownership.
  • Support extraction and consolidation of data from IT systems, procurement tools, and financial sources.
  • Assist in maintaining dashboards and reports covering asset demand trends, purchase order activity, spending, and consumption patterns.
  • Validate data accuracy, identify inconsistencies, and support data cleanup activities.
  • Summarize analytical findings into clear, easy-to-understand insights.
  • Analyze historical data to identify recurring IT asset demand patterns.
  • Support preparation of basic forecasts for laptops, peripherals, and other IT assets.
  • Track demand against actual usage and identify notable variances.
  • Review purchase order data to identify frequently requested items, standard configurations, and purchasing trends.
  • Support identification of opportunities to improve ordering efficiency.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of dashboards and data visualizations supporting operational decisions.
  • Maintain documentation for reporting processes, data definitions, and analytical methods.
  • Collaborate with IT, Supply Chain, and Finance teams on data requests.
  • Prepare data and analytical content for meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
  • Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with formulas and pivot tables preferred.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
