SENIOR ECOMMERCE DEMAND AND INVENTORY PLANNER (Smartwool)
What will you do?
The Sr. eCommerce Demand and Inventory Planner owns North America eCommerce demand forecasting and in-season inventory management to help drive KPI's for Smartwool.com. This role is responsible for monitoring sales performance through detailed analysis of sell through data and tracking of inventory positions and opportunities. You will proactively identify and resolve inventory constraints, optimize inventory segment allocation to maximize product availability and revenue, and collaborate across channels to deliver total Smartwool sales and profit goals. This role works closely with the eCommerce team, Wholesale and Supply Planning, Merchandising and Marketing. This is a hybrid role, based in our Denver, CO office.
Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
  • Own pre-season and in-season demand forecasting for Smartwool North America ecommerce, maintaining accurate inputs across planning systems to support buy readiness, inventory positioning, and financial targets.
  • Drive in-stock performance and sales capture through daily and weekly monitoring of web pages and DC inventory, recommending segment transfers and supply timing adjustments to maximize revenue and turns.
  • Analyze sell through data, inventory mix, and seasonality trends to proactively identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions to meet financial objectives.
  • Assess End of Line inventory positioning to meet financial targets and work with the Ecommerce team to optimize markdown assortment.
  • Partner with Wholesale Demand Planning and NORA Supply Planning to prioritize and allocate supply when capacity is constrained, ensuring ecommerce demand is accurately represented.
  • Support the monthly Demand Review by surfacing issues, opportunities, and insights that drive operational performance and business outcomes.
  • Contribute to longer-term planning by assessing product and merchandising decisions for future season impacts, and participate in key supply chain capability projects and ad hoc analysis.
  • Perform stretch projects as needed, such as create demand forecasts for other direct to customer sales channels.

What do you need to succeed?
  • We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have (Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university - preferred concentration in, Supply Chain or Business Management), we are most interested in 3+ years of related professional experience.

  • Experience in project planning and implementation
  • Self-starter with excellent follow through
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to travel; limited travel required (5%)
  • APICS or IBF certifications are a plus

$77,760.00 USD - $97,200.00 USD annually
