Job description

Are you an experienced, passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced Senior Java Developer, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. The Project Delivery Talent Model is designed for professionals with specialized skills that align to a current client need. Team members focus on delivering services to clients, without additional expectations related to business development or promotion. Their employment is tied to their role on a project, and they are eligible for a benefits package that is competitive for project delivery-focused professionals.
Work you'll do/Responsibilities
  • Lead technical operations and enhancements for distributed Java-based claims applications (e.g., portals, API layers, claims intake engines).
  • Architect and implement backend solutions using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot for distributed claims platforms.
  • Lead triage and resolution for critical application outages, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Design and maintain APIs facilitating communication between modern web applications and legacy claims systems.
  • Mentor Java developers and enforce best practices in secure coding and microservices architecture.

Qualifications
Required
  • 7+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Experience in health insurance domains, including provider portals and member eligibility systems.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
